Expansion of Closed Beta Testing for Playstation Home in Summer 2008

playstation Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. announced today that it will expand the Closed Beta testing for Playstation Home in Summer 2008, inviting a further number of registrants from the Playstation 3 users. Following completion of the Expanded Closed Beta test, the Playstation Home Open Beta service will commence in Fall 2008.

The Playstation Home Open Beta service that will become available in Fall 2008 will be built around providing new and fun community gaming experiences. Details of the Closed Beta testing features, registration for the test and the opening of the service will be announced as they become available.

Zapak announces first Gameplex ‘Zapak Live’ in Mumbai

Zapak.com has announced the launch of its first Gameplex at I-Max Wadala in Mumbai. The gaming portal has also set up a gaming centre at ‘Zapak Live’ at the Times Gizmos & Mobiles Show being held at World Trade Center in Mumbai from December 21-23, 2007, where a 30-seater Zapak Gameplex has been recreated.

Zapak has already introduced gameplexes in various other cities including Chandigarh, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Pune, Jaipur, Indore and New Delhi.

At the Zapak gameplex gamers can visit the pavilions and stalls housing all gaming related manufacturers, developers, accessories, publishers and service providers. Additionally, they can also register for the tournament at the official website.

The Zapak gameplex at I-Max Wadala in Mumbai will include a 35-seater gaming zone, gaming titles, ambience and gaming PCs. According to the company, the Mumbai gameplex will offer the gamers a place to play the latest games and also buy the latest gaming machines and hardware.

Zapak also said that it will offer the same ambiance at ‘Zapak Live’ event.
