Stumbleupon adds the captcha code

This is caused by some users abusing the system too much using bots such that stumbleupon had no choice but to add the captcha code & impose this inconvenience to all members.

So don’t be surprised if you get a screen with the captcha code when you write a review.

It seems like spammers have to exploit every single method of communication and sharing they can find.

It is nice decision by stumbleupon since many people have created bots and started to stumble their own website hundreds of times without any meaning. It was not a fair way of earning money as well since they were also selling out those bots.

Really an inconvenience, but I mean, what else could they have done. It was starting to get bad, I would keep stumbling upon junk.

Actually I don’t even mind captcha’s that much. Except when the system doesn’t work properly and you get ‘image.jpg’ as a captcha :)

I don’t like captchas. I would never write a music related web site that Steve Wonder can’t read. A pity web2.0 is in many cases about losing accesibility.

I really don’t mind the captcha …… if it is readable. Most are, but there are several cases that make me curse out loud, for example when there is no distinction between 0 and O or 1 and l.
